2. Last week a guy in a focus RS stopped and asked what i thought of the roc cause it looked 'the nuts'.
3. Had a van driver accidently go over a spped bump at about 40mph as he was too busy checking out the roc.
4. Had a porsche 911 driver check my car out.

This past Saturday took the Roc to a professional test drive regarding high speed manuevers, when and where to brake before the turns etc. at the official F1
Race Track in Istanbul called the Istanbul Park, organized by the distributor of VW here. We were 3 Roc's on the Track with a Touareg leading in the front; we were told
to follow him with a gap of 30 yards minimum, and not to pass each other, and not to get yourself too much in a Race mood.

I thought it was just going to be driving around cones etc. at not too high speeds..well I was wrong.. :clap: The Touareg in front was driving around 110 mph while he could,
and turning the curves at around 50-60 mph, so he was no easy target to catch since he was a pro pilot, however I took the dsg Roc to its max and it was so fun, I mean its
not everyday that you get to drive at the official F1 track at..the Roc was from the dealers so I had no remorse for it and didnt care about the tires as I took the turns at 80 mph :D and
hit 120 mph when I could.. We did 3 laps each of 3.5 miles in length and took around 15 mintues I guess. Though we had to sign a paper saying that we would be responsible for any damage caused by an accident..

Anyways it was hell of a lot fun to take the Roc to its limits, and see that its road skills are really awesome as discussed by everyone..

So far this was my fav. Scirocco moment..

drove to GTI International this morning, roads were empty and just a fabulous drive, no radio just the sound of the engine and zorts, sat nav found a devine stretch of road for the last 6 or so miles had everything and a real mix, car was awsome, was joined by a A3 who followed and reckoned roc looks great on the move through the twisty bits :D

I've had a few great moments (the staring, the pointing, the comments) but the one that always sticks in my head is the day a lovely young woman knocked at my door to ask me if I owned the white car outside because it is so beautiful and what is it please, it just sticks :)

well,, ive had mine since January, but today has to have been my best moment yet,

i needed to take it to a bodyshop after the fat bitch in the other block tried to squeeze her fat ass between my car and my garage, scratching the near side rear, and bonnet, did i mention she was fat?..anyway

arrived at the bodyshop and was told to drive it into the garage for an estimate, drove in and parked nose to nose with a merc CLS AMG in white, owner was there to pick up his, every panel beater, secretary, manager etc came out and drooled all over it, lots of ooohs and aahs, merc owner was absolutley livid, you could tell he was seriously upset that something alot chearper was hogging all the limelight!! :D

One of my students was caught sneeking her boyfriend into the school. From the building I was in I could see it all happen - they snuck in dodging from cover to cover (I could imagine the mission impossible theme playing) onto the car park looked around and then were confronted by another member of staff before boyfriend was removed. Later I was teaching said student, I explained that I'd seen what had happened and asked her what they were doing, she said she was sneeking her boyfriend on to show him my car as she really, really liked it. Made me smile.

Had quite a nice moment even before I picked up the car !

When I phoned my insurance to change the car on my policy to the Scirocco, the young lady on the other end of the phone said "Oh yes, Sciroccos are really nice aren't they !" :nod:

For someone who spends all day typing details of all sorts of cars into a computer, especially a woman, I thought that was pretty cool 8)

(That's not a sexist comment by the way but women are not usually interested in cars :shrug: )

The good;
1. Picking it up from the dealer.

2. A drive home one night a few nights ago, through the backroads. My usual route but conditions were so nice, it had just showered leaving the road beautifully slick, no standing water just beautifully slippery from the oil and stuff rising.

3. Last week when i finally got around to detailing the car, claying, sealing etc. the rising blue looks so good with a high shine.

The bad;

Having to drive it in all the gravel, mud and debris from the heavy rain on Friday, the day after i finished getting it all perfect :(
