So my canbus is 1K0-907-530 S
HW: 1K0 907 951

I am going to order the 1K0-907-530 AB module.

Viking...what else do you think it could be? I have a brand new Bosch 74ah battery and is fine when radio not connected...can only be that??

Have you measured parasitic draw using a Multi Meter by locking the car and checking with:

Leaving the radio plugged in
Disconnecting the head unit at the ISO connector
It could be the headunit or it could be an issue with the wiring... if you remove the fuse from the head unit (if there's one on there) but leave it all plugged in is the drain stil there?
Should be no canbus drain with any aftermarket head unit. It was only an issue with fitting OEM RNS/RCD510 on very early model Golf Mk5s.

As said, the battery drain only affects VAG group new head units on old gateways. Unlikely to be an issue with you and a Kenwood head unit. I'd be checking to see where the current draw is rather than just changing parts in the hope you'll hit it.
