So first thing done was to matt black out the vw emblems with the use of plastidip, it was my first time using the product and I am very pleased with the result

I masked up a rough square around the emblem, sprayed a good 4 coats of plastidip, waited for it to fully dry, and then just simply peeled away the excess.

Here's a pic of the front emblem blacked out and the red pinstripe I had added to the lower grill.

I then decided to change up the lower grill after seeing a few other examples of painted lower grills on the forum

Lower grill removed.

After hours of sanding the grill completely flat, it was ready for masking and paint!

I used a white plastic primer along with a white base coat and then a clear coat to finish it off.

After leaving it to dry over night I wet sanded it down until flat and then gave it a good polish and wax!

And here's the finished result. I'm very happy with how it turned out and think it gives the car a nice little styling update

Next I'm hopping to do a few interior mods ( new sat nav and black interior trim) and then maybe a gloss black wrap on the roof. I'll be sure to post the updates
