So I want to fit RNS10 to my Scirocco and I was looking at this one:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-VW-RNS510 ... 3cde745c4c" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
So if I do get it is it an easy swap? Ive seen the video of the fitting (" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) but is this all I have to do and everything works fine or is there more to it?

Re: RNS510 fitting
it should be plug and play. I suspect you have an RCD510 in your vehicle already? The plugs should be the same.
You might need to recode your MFD to display nav info, but this isnt essential if you dont want it

Yeah I have the RCD510 atm, Im guessing I still have to add that extra wire for the sat nav like the guy did in the tutorial?dimexi wrote:it should be plug and play. I suspect you have an RCD510 in your vehicle already? The plugs should be the same.

I didnt watch the tutorial. I assume your RNS will come with a GPS antenna. You can plug it in and mount it just under the vents - there might be a video for the vents somewhere. Taking them out can be a painrafail7 wrote:Yeah I have the RCD510 atm, Im guessing I still have to add that extra wire for the sat nav like the guy did in the tutorial?dimexi wrote:it should be plug and play.
