RCD510 wma compatible?

Post by lsuhe »

Hi
Does the standard head unit play wma (windows media audio) files from CD of SD card? I presume it plays mp3 but wondered about wma???
I'm just loading up a 8GB SD card ready for 2 weeks time...!
Many thanks

Variable Bit Rate WMA's work also which should technically be the best quality WMA as the compression varies according to the complexity of the music. The ceiling on WMA VBR i believe is 355 kbps using the rip function on Windows Media player.

The head unit will play MP3 and WMA files from the SD Card - You can also play ACC and OGG-Vorbis encoded files via the MDI interface (from USB device or iPod) I have a MP3, WMA and OGG files on a 16gb USB stick in the armrest.
