Boot release

Post by lloydie63 »

Hi all, My boot release will not open fully on the first press on the key fob or boot release in drivers door, second press on either does the job, any idea what's gone wrong?

Regards

Mines the same, sometimes takes multiple presses.

Just push / pull the button for a big longer and it should work OK.

Ok tried long press on boot release key fob and again on the release in the door panel and no difference. The boot lifts slightly but I still cant open the boot by hand unless I repress the keyfob/door release again.

If it's lifting slightly but not releasing then the issue is probably the bump stops either need adjusting or replaced.

All sorted and working correctly. Bump stops fitted to the boot are spring loaded, one of the bump-stops was pressed in, a simple twist and stop is now "out" :)
