Don't worry about it, may never happen, see some positive comments here at higher miles, it's rare to have happy customers be vocal and post all over the internet, so you are always more likely to get those that moan and those that have never had a dsg car fuel it.

Also there are third parties doing refurbs and kits to fix now so if you have bad luck and someone in the trade for help, cost to fix probably won't be too bad ( certainly less than the depreciation on a new car.)
Personally I will have vw do the oil and maintain that goodwill, but thats a small insurance policy for a few extra quid come service time, hopefully i'll never need it.
