Yes I have contacted head office today. Been back after the branch manager refused to return my calls today and was dealt with appallingly by the sales manager who shrugged and said he wasn't authorising repair and that I should wait 2 weeks until the after sales Manager returns from his holiday.

Just get back onto VW Customer Services. From my experience, they are keen to sort out problems with customers and will intervene with dealers.
I can rely on my car, it's my Roc!!!
