Re: RCD 510 issues with portable HD
Hi Just a quick note on my experiences. I tried a 250Gb Western Digital "Passport" HD and found the same as you that it always restarted back the first track each time the car was restarted. I then got hold of a cheap Freecom toughdrive 150 GB off ebay and found that this works perfectly p...

Re: Bluetooth (Factory Option)
Slighty more expensive but it is still possible to get full integration into the RCD510 with a 3rd party bluetooth for example

Re: Bluetooth (Factory Option)
I just ticked Bluetooth. It costs £350. How can you tell if it's the 'premium' one or not? Just checked on vw.co.uk and the £350 is the Premium Rsap only Bluetooth, but you would be better checking with your dealer. I am afraid that this will not work with SE phone. It only seems to work with Nokia...

Re: Bluetooth (Factory Option)
If you have the premium Bluetooth option then I am afraid that the SE phones are not compatable as they do not support Rsap

Re: Premium Bluetooth
Mine will show the name of the person ringing if the car had about 2 minutes to pair. This is because the way i understand it, is that the name are downloaded from the phone via remote access, but not fully. The issue of no name appearing only happens with me when there has not been enough time for...

Re: Premium Bluetooth
I emailed VW and this is the responce I got, hope it helps. I have removed it from my quote and even the deal has said that I should get a parrot system. Thank you for your recent enquiry. The factory fit telephone preparation available in the Scirocco as a factory fit is rather limited and only al...
