been with the dealer for 3 days - they finally tracked the problem down to a faulty temperature sensor which was causing the problem. Its been replaced and so far so good!

I had a strange experience today - driving down the M4, doing 70, and suddendly just for a second (literally) there was a loss of power and the bottom row on the display (just the bottom row) flash off and on and then the power came back. I would say it is more like a knocking noise, but one mans knock is another mans tick - so I suppose it could be that. Thanks for the response.

Mine certainly drives fine (as far as I can tell) :-) The car is going in for its first service in two weeks, I will ask VW to look at it, the problem is that it doesnt happen all time so you can guarantee it wont happen for the few moments they test it, not to mention the workshop isnt exactly the ...

Ive started to notice a slight knocking noise when I am idling after driving for a while.

Hi Hopefully a stupid question - according to the manual, there is supposed to be a setting on the MFD to enable or disable the passenger side mirror dipping when going into reverse.
