Slight knocking noise at idle

Slight knocking noise at idle

Ive started to notice a slight knocking noise when I am idling after driving for a while.

Has anyone else noticed something similar?

me too dont know if it was normal or not. it drives fine.

Mine certainly drives fine (as far as I can tell) :-)

The car is going in for its first service in two weeks, I will ask VW to look at it, the problem is that it doesnt happen all time so you can guarantee it wont happen for the few moments they test it, not to mention the workshop isnt exactly the ideal environment to locate a knocking noise!

Is it a knocking noise or more like a ticking noise if its the latter that is the in line fuel filter and is normal on vw cars

I would say it is more like a knocking noise, but one mans knock is another mans tick - so I suppose it could be that. Thanks for the response.
