My R came with the 5N0 035 730 C Module which is Rsap only. I think the D one you mentioned is the lastest, but could still be Rsap only - not sure. From researching I believe there are 2 modules available, I ordered the 9W7 module from VW Part Code: 7P6 035 730 C List price is around the £399 mark ...

I didn't need to use VAGCOM.

If I use the voice control button on the Nav unit it works fine for all the other functions, button on the wheel seems to be phone only.

Just called my dealer, what was a Week 42 build has now been pushed back to Week 2...!
No explanation as to why - they are trying to find out from VW and should hopefully let me know what's going on tomorrow.
