Re: how much mpg you get?
lol... I hit about 31mpg on average in the 2.0TSI, and I don't even drive hard. It's just mostly town and country roads, no Motorway.
I went past £70 for a tank last week!

Re: Scirocco handling
I took my Roc to the Porsche Experience centre and used their kickplate and ice track to test the handling. I'm pleased to report that with or without ESP (although my Porsche consultant felt you can never fully turn the thing off) the handling was great. The kickplate at the top recommended speed d...

Re: To Dsg or Not To Dsg
DSG as a Factory option, totally love it. D is perfect for London Driving and really maximises smoothness, reduction in noise and so forth. S is great for country roads, getting the power down and right on the bends and ensuring you maintain maximum control around a track. M is then the step above, ...

First laps as a new driver
This bank holiday weekend my wife went past the car park stages and completed two five minute laps of public roads near where I live. She's a late starter learning to drive as my previous manual shift cars have really not been too fun for her to try and she never lasted more than a few weeks of prac...

Re: Potholes - Grrrr
I hit a pothole in my Smart forFour Brabus, each alloy on that was a monster and it buckled two at 40mph, very thin treads as well. The total cost for 2 x tyres and 2 x alloys was near £1k and I tried to add on two more tyres as I didn't want to drive with news on one side and olds on the other. Nee...

Front side window tinting
Hey, the Roc is tinted for the rear's right? Has anyone tinted the front's to whatever is the current legal maximum? Does anyone have any pictures, or any hints on getting a good match?

Re: Possible next company car??
For the 2.0 TSI DSG, Candy White with Leather and a few other options I am paying £400 PCM including insurance, maintain and spare parts (eg tyres). It's about tax neutral as the BIK on the car is offset by the tax saved on the gross salary discount. So overall £400 is great, especially as insurance...

Re: Leather seat wearing
Modern "mid-range" cars like the Roc with Leather just aren't as good as their older counterparts. During 2005 to 2007 I had a MR2 Mk2 which was G reg (1990) car with leather. The passenger seat looked like a 3-4 year old while the driver seat, although with creases had no tear repairs. 16...

Re: Newbie questions
Good news on the warrenty stuff, was worried they wouldn't like it as they didn't sell the car.
Regarding the sunroof, you think a Candy White looks better without? Or is noise / weight a factor?

Newbie questions
Hey everyone, I was lucky enough to be able to get a Roc on with my company scheme. Delivery is apparently the 12th of April, so I guess it must be getting ready to be built at the moment... Couple of questions: i) Because it's a company scheme they use what is I presume the cheapest dealer to sourc...

I went for white as it was the stand out model on the forecourt, except for Viper Green, but I didn't want that attention!

Re: What's your Build Date? (Estimated or Confirmed)
Been told that it should be ready for pickup on the second week of April... done through my work scheme, so not 100% sure of the process, but they have been providing me with regular updates. Patience; the precious will arrive soon! Also, it's been cheap to not have a car for the last 6 months since...
