Re: Fire Extinguisher
Just for those that are interested - EVENTUALLY - and yes it was an arguement, (Service managed to get parts to order in the correct fog lights and stamp up a duplicate Service Book) I have been advised the Fire Extinguisher bracket is no longer available! New lights all fitted and she's back to goo...

Re: New Tyre Advice
I got 15k out my Dunlop Sports and recon another 5k on them before changing to 19"s I was happy with Dunlop Sport but recon understeer in wet was excessive. Fitted Goodyear F1 Assymetrics to both Roc and an A3 and wet wet is very good, not so sure in dry compared to Dunlop tho and wear rate I'm...

Re: Can you stop the passenger window dropping?
I had this issue and had to get in, ignition on roll up drivers side from inside and get out passenger door!! Silicone all the frame and bottom window rubber helps but messy (and stinks as its fragranced!) I end up using a half car cover covering the windows all round and roof areas........... or co...

Re: 19 inch not good?
I recently changed from standard 18's to Rimstock 19's and these are a lot lighter! Couldn't actually believe how heavy the OEM wheels really are! I also think the ride is better now with the 19's probably down to the weight.....

Re: Faulty alloy wheels
My wife had 4 replaced by Audi on an Allroad, they refused so I wrote to Milton Keynes and said as my wifes car it mainly carried the kids - needless to say all 4 were replaced. Being my wifes car with the split rims that stuck out all 4 were damaged. The issue was corrosion in undamaged area of the...

Re: Need new front tyres @ 15,700 miles!?!?
I threw set of Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetrics on recenty at 15k and noticed much better ride and better in wet than Dunlops. I was impressed with wear on Dunlops and agree with above I too normally get less than these out of fronts although mine were rotated so I cheated a touch. Replaced all 4 in en...

Re: service - loan 1.4TSi
I can't say that was anywhere near a 160 point was if it was a 122 economy should still have been better, hey ho won't change the world just suprised and shows how good the 2.0TSI is if driven sensibly, certainly porr if thrashed tho! (Which happens in any turbo car!)

Re: service - loan 1.4TSi
Had kids in car so was brisk but not thrashing. Set cruise at ton for best part 160miles. I know its not 265brake but was gutless and I do drive lower powered vans etc. Even a Nissan Note I had end of week was more spritley and economical. Hey ho, never found VW/Audis ultimately frugal buit nicely m...

service - loan 1.4TSi
Tops marks to Citygate Watford for quick service turnaround, however very nicely specd Golf loan car was less impressive on fuel! Granted it was tight with 78miles on clock, found it gutless and averaged only 32.8mpg on a fast run to Birmingham. Similar run and speeds over 200mile run in 2.0TSi Roc ...

Service Costs
Tried to book my car in for 2nd service yesterday and came up with some fixed price options. £220 for 2nd year service or £295 for 2 years (ie 2nd and 3rd year) servicing plus free MOT which will be due next year. Seems a no brainer just be aware offers are out there......... That said sure someone ...

Re: Fitting a normal bluetooth to the 'roc?
I've had a parrot for last 2 years, all set up to use the steering wheel controls so no need to have screen in veiw (except for initial pairing) can place in glovebox if you don't want to see screen........ Always feel Parrot has performed better than manufacturer kits, last Audi kit I had was absol...

Re: Fuel/Distance Remaining, how low can it go?
Remembeer Clarkson and co. ? They ran 30-40miles on fuel in reserve and pipes etc when they did their brim to cap and see who got the furthest........ I've done 10miles on 0 but then unfairly brimmed it and got another 9ouple litres after the pump clicked off.

That's not AUTO then! My 2 year old Roc has 'folding mirrors' auto will be when ignition switched off or fob pressed to close doors they fold in/out etc Folding mirrors I have always added to vehicle spec for narrow roads, width restrictions etc and parking in London, auto is good idea if on FOB oth...

Re: Fire Extinguisher
(sound of pin droping) :? (turns to look) :eyepop:  Might wanna go for foam instead of powder  Foam is fine as long as it's non electrical obviously and if you have Powder do not use it in a confined space, unless you are outside. Prob go foam, its not actually for the car more for the e...

With kids clambering over it the thought of that pin getting kicked out doesn't bear thinking about!! Have looked at rear but avoided for this reason!
