Re: ACC Anyone actually notice the difference?
In my opinion, it's very noticable when doing hard cornering. In comfort mode, I loose grip much earlier than when in sport mode. Steering feel as well, most noticable at stand still, harder steering in sport mode than in comfort mode. I would say that if you can't feel the difference when doing som...

Re: Air Con Issues
In my case it turns out that the compressor is broken
Which in turn apparently means that they will replace both the compressor and condenser on warrenty

Re: Air Con Issues
Noticed a week ago that mine wasn't working. VagCom error codes shows: 1 Fault Found: 00229 - Refrigerant Pressure 002 - Lower Limit Exceeded Haven't noticed any problems or signs of malfunction before. I'm guessing either something is leaking or possibly the preassure sensor isn't working. Fortunat...

Anyone knows if it's possible to verify serial numbers with VW/VAG, to minimize the risk?

Where does all the RNS510's come from?
I'm looking in to upgrading to a RNS510 and find alot of them for sale out on different web sites. Some second hand, some claimed to be brand new out of the box, etc, etc, Prices seem generally very low (about 800€ for a C-version) compared to the VW price, which obviously makes me think somethings ...

Re: pano sunroof - road noise?
I've driven both with and without the sunroof, can't say that I've noticed any difference in terms of road noise. I ended up choosing one with sunroof, and really like the light and spacious feel of the cabine. It does however make some squeaky and creaky noise, especially now during cold weather, b...

Re: Passenger window issue
Not sure this applies to yours, as yours seem to roll up the windows once you turn on the ignition though. On mine, when I had this happen, it was the outer door handle that didn't "close" fully. Melted snow had frozen to ice and left the door handle in a limbo state where the switch in th...

Re: windows opening and doors unlocking on their own in the
Just want to share the winter experience I had today. After spending a good half hour trying to get the window to reset using the above mention procedures etc, just to find that every time I got out of the car, it dropped again, not going back to it's original possition, it just struck me. The outsi...

Re: Air con recharge
Just a quick Q on this, You're talking about recharging ACs on cars that can't be more than 2 years old I don't get this, I've never rechararged ACs on my cars and I usually keep them until they are about 5 years old. Is this a general thing that I should expect on my MY2009? (working just fine so f...

Re: Mains Engine Heater
Very common here in Sweden. The two main brands here are Defa and Calix, http://www.defa.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and http://www.calix.se" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Can't find a reseller in the UK though, but maybe they are shipping. ...

Re: Speedo shows way off
Personally I dont see the big problem. Every car I have had since i got my first tomtom, the speedo has read less than the GPS. I've always taken it for granted that the speedo is slightly under calibrated to prevent the whole "my speedo says im doing 30 officer" scenario. Seriously guys,...

Re: Speedo shows way off
I Just got my car back from the dealers. They have had if for two days to retrofit parkingsensors, electric engine heater, and to most importantly, to sort out the speedo problem. The parking sensors and engine heater worked out great, but they couldn't adjust the speedo. They claim to have checked ...

Re: Speedo shows way off
Couldn't get a clear answer from the dealer, they said something about it not being adjustable. I find that hard to beleive. They will give it a try beginning of December. Hoping to get the speedo to less than 5% off, basically to the same reading as I can read out on the clima controll. I'll keep y...

Re: Speedo shows way off
Wow, that's a realy neat trick. Thanks! Looks like 19.0 was the speed readout in km/h and 19.1 in mph (you don't by any chance have a listing of all the other readouts?) The speed readout is much more accurate in the diagnostic menu than on the main speedo. Only about 5% of when doing 140 km/h, an a...

Speedo shows way off
Hi all, A newbie from Sweden here. Recently got my second Scirocco, a 2009 GT, the first one was a 1975 TS I'm wondering if any of you have tried to measure the accuracy of your speedo? When measuring the speed using two different GPSes I found that my speedo is showing almost 13% more than the GPS ...
