Re: Bye R Hello A45 AMG

Hey Jd5, Your right of course, its only a 2.0 engine size. I meant it more in the power bhp area. it seemed like a big jump to me. think its 265bhp scirocco to 360bhp a45. The car is lovely to drive but I will admit it is far more tempting to drive antisocially. I haven't missed the R since the firs...

Bye R Hello A45 AMG

Hey Guys, Firstly The Scirocco R I owned since 2010 from new. Upgraded from a GT Rocco and the R blew it away. Fantastic Car. I was in talks with vw about the new Golf R as I was interested in the 4 wheel drive side of things and sad to say it the extra back doors. As down the line should babies arr...

Re: Tires

Hey, I also had the front tyres wear out at only 7000 miles. The Bridgestone Potenza on picking up the car I can only fault for the wearing out but the handling and grip was amazing. I was happy to order these again however I needed to change asap and was talked into Hankooks Evos at a terrible comp...

Re: Drivers Door Rattle

I had my R serviced and Whilst I was there mentioned about the Rattle in the doors. After a test drive the VW guys agreed it was not right. Originally they warned taking the doors apart could make it worse once re fitted. Anyway, I left the car and had a day of driving a nice but very slow golf mk6....

Re: Trading in a mark 6 GTI. for a Scirocco R.

As already mentioned the R doesnt come in Red. Though it would look good in Red so they screwed up. I agree and would also reccommend the Rear Parking Sensors. The other options you have said are all ace. Any cheap options might be a good idea as mine didnt have the folding mirrors and a quote to ha...

Re: DSG Mechatronic Issues

Hey, I swapped out my maunal Roc GT for a R DSG. I was a manual Driver through and through. When I got My R there wasnt many available and skeptically went for the DSG without even test driving one b4 or even seeing my R beforehand. I havent looked back Its far better than I could have ever imagined...

Re: Rising Blue 2.0 GT Tdi

hey chojin, Im afraid I have not had it dyno'd as there main location was too far away. In honesty the through the wheels is something I didnt really think about. I know the performance is great and I'm well happy with it. Andy is right about the wheel part though, just checked it up on their websit...

Re: Scirocco R now on UK VW Website

I agree a Remapped R will be worth seeing. I have also specced my current options onto the R and am hitting around 30k. Expenisive but in some defense the car is great looking, already lowered, upgraded brakes etc. I cant justify spending that much money as far as logic goes, but I want one anyway. ...

My car is 2009 and the indicator stalk method does not work. I had the car plugged into a Vag Com system today and the car just refuses to turn them off. very irritating.

Re: Problems with activate the foglights

The fog lights are more trouble than their worth,, it was very foggy the other night so I thought I would turn my fogs on,,they came on ,, though my main headlights went off leaving me doing 70mph in the dark..was not good.

+1 where are you getting the remap? I'm only aware of gains of around 35bhp, taking it to around 185bhp, not 195... Hey guys, Im getting it done with a company called celtic tuning. Im actually having it done later on today. Check out their website http://www.celtictuning.co.uk" onclick="...

It is fantastic to drive and makes my old mk 5 golf seem like my first car, a citroen saxo lol I have went for the diesel 140 version as I didnt see why a remap by vw was worth an extra 1k That bein...
