Those are dectane sidelights bud, I got them off of amazon myself but will be cheaper from dectane themselves, just may take a while longer. Try a quick google. Yeh, I have this very problem too!!!! Alarm is very much "on" as the sensor catches me inside but only sets off the hazards no sounds.
It's due a service very soon was gonna see if VW would take a look at it.

Although not in my rocco I had this very same problem in my VW polo a few years back, thankfully it was still in warranty and turned out to be lose connectors behind the air con switches. Possibly the same problem here!
