Re: Has anyone had their paint repaired? Options??
Yeah - antoher forum I posted on said the same - paint pens are out!
Maybe i'll get a quote to give it a "go over" - im sure it'll come in somewhere between "more than i'm willing to pay" and "f--k me thats expensive"

Has anyone had their paint repaired? Options??
Hello,
Basically my black scirocco is covered in motorway stone chips on the front, and a few nasty door chips from careless previous owners.
I'm wondering what my options are in regards to repairing these? Do the paint pens work, or is getting a professional on the job the way to go?
Cheers

Re: Checked your tailgate lately?
So - if you're a 2nd hand owner of a car how does VW treat that? Mine does have some rusting around one of the metal bungs. Not as bad as Mr OCD - but if VW are doing goodwill I'd like a new boot. I have a full VW service history and was considering putting it in for a VW full service this/next mon...

Re: How to transport a Mountain Bike?
Here's what I've done: 1: Bought the biggest tarpaulin I could find on Ebay for pennies. Got an absolutely massive one for £2 or something silly.I line the boot and cover the back of seats with this. It's so big I can fold it over 4 times or so - it's quite thick and protective by this point. I also...

Black VW badge with Chrome TSI/Scirocco badges?
Hello,
Just got my matte black VW badges through - they're pretty dope. Trying to decide if the rear will look good with a black VW logo but the standard chrome "Scirocco" and "2.0 TSI" badges.
Anyone got a pic or some input on this?
Cheers

Re: Which scirocco to buy?
It's worth understanding the vocal minority rule - as stated above you only hear of the worst cases on the internet. Fact of the matter is, VW sell millions of engines world wide and they are (...ignoring recent silly emissions gaff) a very reputable company. If ALL of their 1.4 TSI engines blew up ...

What's your driving position like?
Hello, Just wondering what other Scirocco drivers driving seat position is like? Are you high, low? Upright or leant back? Can you see your bonnet/front of the car or is the dash your horizon? I'm 6ft, so at the moment I have my seat quite low, I can't see the bonnet, but my head eye level is around...

Re: Checked your tailgate lately?
So I checked mine, '59 Roc, one hole is fine and the other has a slight bubbling.
What does this mean? Is it something I can ignore or what?
Is it just cosmetic or is there something more going on

Re: Help. Buying Scirocco -09 2.0 TSI.
Sounds a big spec!
But as above, make sure you're aware of the steering wheel changes. It puts a lot of value onto the car, and makes the 59' hold onto their value quite well.
Damn, I'd like xenons in mind.

Re: So my water pump is leaking
Sweet, so i'm potentially on for a bit of a bargain if I offer my neighbour a cheeky £100 sheets plus the parts cost. I'm sure if it fails down the road we can look at it again.

Re: So my water pump is leaking
You're engine is chain driven!! No timing belt! The water pump is driven by a small auxiliary belt on the gearbox side of the engine. As for parts that's really upto you. I generally try and use oe parts, you can buy them cheaper from places like tps. Yes! You're right. I just googled in fact and c...

Hmm, I hadn't considered that. The car is at 54k so probably worth doing.
