Just had my intake manifold replaced yesterday by VW. Luckily have extended warranty. Is this quite a common issue?

Mainly attract "boy racer" types in pimped up saxos's, astras..even had a suzuki swift trying to have a go! I think having 19" black Interlagos doesnt help thought haha.
