You may have noticed I said wrapping the springs makes no differance but I'll take yor advice and get the 4 th set of top mount bearings fitted but not at Vw!
Also noticed hat problem only occurs when the car is loaded or if the front wheels are on uneven ground.

Re: Suspention knocking
I've fitted some rubber inserts to each coil (made by tein I think) to stop the springs chattering together but it made no differance. Although this more a problem on the h&r's as the coils almost touch. You obviously do not understand the problem if you think it is the coils touching. It is th...

Re: Suspention knocking
Although I suspected the same, I think it's unlikely 2 diferant dealers both pulled the same trick under warrenty? I think it is possible to change the top mount bearings from below. I'm goin to try another dealer as it's been to my local one 3 times but I need someone with stock springs to solve it...

Re: Suspention knocking
The first time I had the top mounts changed the problem was resolved but 20k later it cam back. Vw then claimed to change them both again and problem is still there?! It's driving me mad and I've come to a dead end as Vw are just saying they are unable to diagnose. Any sugestions

Re: Suspention knocking
I'm looking forward to their report as my car's been back to vw 3 times, had top mounts changed twice and noise is still there and getting worse. VW decided just to blame it on the H & R springs which I couldnt argue with much but now its starting to happen to stock cars?! If you search any R32 ...

Re: Wiper Blades (sorry)
my car went back to the dealer 4 times with no joy but i finally sorted it myself. You just need to take the blade off and bend it round in a circle, going with the existing bend. start off lightly bending it, test it and bend it more if it doesnt sort it. Just be careful not to kink the blade. The ...

Re: Wiper Blades
I may have found a solution to the wiper issue. I noticed the centre of the blade is under too much pressure on the downward sweep, so I took the blade off and bent round on itself(going with the existing bend)untill it wouldn't coil any further. (Be carefull not to kink the blade anywhere). When I ...

Re: Wiper Blades
the modified blade looks identical to the original. The wiper arm mite sit a couple of mm higher off the windscreen but its very difficult to tell.

Re: Wiper Blades
ive had the modified blades for 1 week now. they worked perfectly for about 2 hours and now im back to not seeing much in the rain again. im fed up of going back to the dealer after 4 visits. i even bought a set of new blades to see if a differant manufactured blade would sort it but it didn't! VW n...
