I've just received my Roc so it's a 2010 MY. I've had it for a week but the DAB is driving me mad. I would say it's practically unusable. I was looking forward to listening to Test Match Special on Radio 5 Live Extra, but wherever I am it dips out constantly. Oh well, I thought, back to Radio 4 Long...

Wow, got it this morning at 8am! Arrived at work and it was sat in the car park, the delivery guy had other calls to make today so it was already off the trailer and ready to go. Shame about the weather, took it out for a quick spin to make sure it was a 170 and not a 140 - and it's a 170 alright :D...

By the way, what's the recommendation for "running in" a TDI? How many miles before I can put my foot down?

Ordered week 21 soon after 170 announced, (I test drove a 140, but decided I needed a bit more power. I'll let you know how the 170 compares... :yummy: ) then given build week 28. It's been agony watching everyone else on here take delivery of theirs but at last the waiting is nearly over... Dealer ...

I was also wondering if anyone had taken delivery of their 170 yet. Mine is on order, being built this week.

...and also how do you tell if you have actually been given a 170 when it is delivered, instead of a 140?

Just ordered a Candy White 170 TDI. Always wanted a white car, always wanted a hot hatch that I could insure for less cash than the average defence budget of a medium sized country, not possible at 17......so.....I'm now 38 and I think this constitutes a mid life crisis. I've ordered a 170, I ordered it Week 21 and have a build week of 28 - hoping to get it end July/early August.

Coincidentally my brother has just taken delivery of an A5 170 - he took me out in it today, and it went very nicely. Gonna be good in the lighter rocco.

Mine's a company car. I submitted the order to leasing company 12th May, I had a call from the dealer to confirm spec on the 14th May, and order confirmation from leasing company on 19th May, so not exactly sure what the "order date" would be in terms of when placed on VW's ordering system...

I tested a 140 a few weeks back and to be honest the performance left me slightly underwhelmed. I had an A3 170 for a day last year and that put a real grin on my face. Anyway, I've ordered a 170. It's a company car so (a) it's cheaper for me to own than the 2.0 TSI due to leasing costs/company car ...
