Re: Roadside Assistance renewal

I don't see how VW can avoid recovering you if a warranty issue causes breakdown. If I get stranded anywhere for anything other than a puncture, accident or running out of fuel then they should be expected to come out and get you for free if the car is under warranty. The VW scheme is way overprice...

Re: Instrument Lights and Full Beam

Ah OK, now I get it... silly me...
To be honest I don't mind the DRLs, so I've not deactivated them - It's so bloomin dark up here I need them most of the time anyway, and I really havn't noticed folks waving at me to turn them off.

Thanks!

Re: Acknowledging other Scirocco Drivers??

Occasionally - Depends who's driving!

I recall when I had my Cooper S, they were still pretty new and Mini marketing sent out direct mail more or less instructing owners to wave at each other. It was funny for a while, but when every third car became a Mini soon paled...

Instrument Lights and Full Beam

Now here's a funny thing... I have discovered that when driving in the dark, I can turn the headlights control from 'Auto' (where I always leave it) to 'O', and the headlights stay on, but the speedo and tacho dial lights go off, along with the heater control lights etc. The instrument needles are s...

Re: What don't you like about your Rocco?

The heater... and not just because of the current arctic conditions. Takes ages to warm up, even then pathetic warmish air to the footwells. Once warm, turning down a tiny fraction from 26C, air is freezing. No fine control possible at all. When I get a chance I'm taking it into the dealer, but I'm ...

AgaZaKa - I'm all for saving money, but in the unlikley event of having to call them if you break down is that such a big deal?

Re: Heater - Not sure if there's a problem...

Thaks folks... didn't mean to start a firestorm - apart from the heater i'm enjoying the car very much.... I've given it another couple of weeks, but i'm really not happy with the way the heater is after 6 months of having it, so off to the dealer when I get a chance, although getting them to acknow...

Heater - Not sure if there's a problem...

Hi, Just wanted to pick the collective brain here... I have a 1.4 with the standard aircon. All is great, except I have no graduation in temperature either with aircon on or off. The car seems pretty steamy in the rain, so need to have the fan on 1 or 2 most of the time. With the temp dial all the w...
