Re: Kinli's Scirocco R - Stage 2+
this is amazing ! how do you find the stage 2+ map? and is the DSG flash a must? Thanks! Stage 2+ is obviously great. I don't think I will ever need more power in this car. :) The vwr intake is a bit so-so. I don't like the fact that the pipe is made out of metal (hence the heatshielding), but othe...

Re: Kinli's Scirocco R - Stage 2+
It's quite basic stuff, bigger pipe, less restriction = better flow. The biggest gain (I'd guess) is from the new discharge adapter. The oem piece is quite restrictive and unoptimized for flow as it also works as a minimuffler for the turbocharger.eMiL-VR6 wrote:Whats the point of changing the dischare pipe?

Thanks! ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/smile.gif)
The discharge pipe is quite easy to fit and there is plenty of room around it. The charge air pipe however is a different story... It's a very tight fit, but doable. I believe that the discharge pipe is a more relevant upgrade than the charge air pipe so I would start with that one.

Re: My scirocco project - faceliftet to a 2015 model
Very impressive indeed! You say the steering wheel was plug n play? No coding needed? The facelift wheel has a mute button that the prefacelift doesn't, does that work right away as well? Did you notice any difference in the new steering wheel position? is it any closer to the driver than to origina...

Re: dsg remap
Version 1.5 is now available. V1.5 fixes the common complaint in v1.4/1.41 that, in Drive Mode (not Sport Mode), the 5th to 6th gear upshift occurs at a higher than desirable RPM under light acceleration or constant speed conditions. The 5->6 shift points in a constant speed or ‘light to medium’ ac...

Re: dsg remap
Kiln I, how much longer does the APR map hold the gears in D mode, I always felt it shifted too soon in its rush to reach 6th gear when on a light throttle. Even in standard form it does seem to adapt well though, give it a little more load and it does hold on to the gears longer. APRs PR team did ...

Re: dsg remap
Can't let your comment about Drive being unusable stand without commenting. Drive is designed for general use and what most people want when they're not in press-on mode is economy so it goes into sixth as soon as it can. Well designed, good for what it is intended for and above all usable in your ...

Re: Kinli's Scirocco R - Stage 2+
Nice car! Did you upgrade the soundsystem on your own? Thanks! I did the sound damping stuff myself, but left the speaker / amp / sub install for the professionals. I'm very happy with the result at the moment but at higher sound levels the amp becomes the bottleneck, hence the reason for thinking ...

Kinli's Scirocco R - Stage 2+
http://kinli.smugmug.com/Cars/VW-Scirocco-R/i-WdQ79Ft/0/XL/DSC_0040-XL.jpg I thought I would share some info about my Scirocco project as I've done the same with my past cars. Hopefully there is some useful stuff here. I bought this car about a year ago with just 13.000km on the clock. It's a 2012 ...

Re: dsg remap
Cool I'm running APR stage1, so whats it like in D and S much diffrence?? Well, D is now usable! It doesn't shift up to sixth gear as soon as you pull off. It stays in lower gears. Before the flash I used mostly manual mode because of the useless D mode but now the new D mode behaves just as I woul...

Had it since it was released. Love it.
I'm running apr stage 2+ at the moment and it suits it very well.
The manual shifting is just waaay faster than stock.

Re: Break pedal position on DSG
The news was it can't be done I'm afraid! Says who? The dealer? I've googled around regarding this issue, and it seems that everybody is complaining to the dealer about this. Obviously a dealer won't take any responsibilty about adjusting something as critical as the brakes. But has anyone actually...

Re: Break pedal position on DSG
Any news on this front?
I have a DSG scirocco R and I really dislike the way the pedals are aligned.
Surely there is a way to adjust this?

Questions regarding DSG and LSD
Hi, I'm about to buy a scirocco R and I would need some advice as I'm totally new to VW / VAGs and all the new gizmos these car has nowdays. I'm mostly wondering about the DSG. It seems like a nice piece of engineering considering the speed it reacts on upshifts. But what about downshifts? if I'm in...
