Re: Rough running.
It could be a coilpack failing, faulty MAF or Lamda probe. First thing to do is have the car scanned to see what faults are logged, if any. I had an error code a few weeks ago that was rated to an intermittent fault on the air inlet valves or something like that is that related to any of your sugge...

Re: Rough running.

As I accelerate it doesn't matter whether it is slowly or harsh between 2000rpm ish to when the turn kicks in there is a dull spot in the engine, there is then a noticeable difference (kick) when it goes back to normal. Any ideas what ...

Re: Bitten the bullet
They were for replacement parts not upgraded parts. Majority of my driving is pretty easy going (commuting) so couldnt really justify paying the premium for the upgraded ones. This definite solves all the little niggly problems.

Re: Bitten the bullet
Well I've had the car back from the garage last week and can safely say im very pleased with the work. Pedal feels nice and firm again and the clutch feels nice and 'tight'. No squeeling / groaning noise when in first or reverse either which im pleased about. The parts that were changed were the clu...

More recently there has been a slipping in 4th 5th and 6th on the motorway when overtaking / accelerating. after research ive narrowed it down to being the clutch or flywheel....

Re: 2.0 tsi clutch squeal and cold start problems
I have notice this problem occuring on my car over the last few months but whilst driving home on friday i was in 4th gear put my foot down on an inclined slip road to get on the motorway and the clutch slipped the revs increased as youd expect almost similarly to if it was wheel spinning. Now the c...

Re: Nosie Problem / Question
Ok Its due to have new tyres on the front anyway so is it worth putting the new ones on the back and moving the old ones to the front?
When the new tyres are fitted or swapped isit worth getting the tracking ang allignment done?

Nosie Problem / Question
Recently there has been a noise appearing whilst on the move at all different speeds and from previous experiences it sounds very much like a wheel bearing.... I managed to get time to jack the car up and spin all wheels to determine which one/s needed replacing! turns out that none of them were mak...
