just a quick update

condesation kept on returning so i booked the car into VW. The near side lamp was fine whereas the offside kept on misting up

the dealer replaced the whole lamp and the condesation has not returned ! ! !

Must say our drivers door closes with a nice noise......but the passanger door has a rattle when you shut it. I was thinking of getting the dealer to take a look....but im loosing faith in VW dealers.. Lucky at the minute the passanger door isnt rattling whilst driving Ken the car has been rebooked...

yh i used to just use p21s. ive been buildin up the 476 now. everytime i was the car it gets a coat of collinite. Its got 6 coats of the stuff now. the beading is awesome. Water just falls off the car. when the weather gets warmer ill add a few coats of R222. For the winter i cant see much matching ...

took the lamp out today.

cleaned up most of the moisture. clipped everything back in and for now everything seems ok. just washed the car and there was no new condensation.

for a more durable wax collinite 476 is worth a look. Hard wearing wax. i use to use p21s/R222 but as you said it dont last long. guys since ive had my car the rear offside lens always has condesation build up.

anyone else notice their cars with this problem?? if so how was it fixed

i use a G220 which is a DA and its a joy to use. Rotary are very good and you can results very quickly. But if you dont know what your doing you can cause a lot of damage to the paint. i would say unless you have a good understanding of polishing a Dual Action polisher would be more than sufficient....
