Deep Black CR140 Delivered

Post by MKAndy »

Delivered bang on 8:30am this morning, my new Deep Black Rocco...it's been a painful wait since June 22nd!

First impressions, I love it! My previous daily driver was an Audi A3 which I cherished for 3 years, and then had a stinking (literally!) VW Jetta from AVIS for a few weeks, pending the arrival of this. It's lovely inside, I thought I'd miss the dark roof lining, but I don't really, it already feels snug enough.

The only slight gripes I have so far are the usual, ESP in the wrong place, mirror adjustment button position has a feel of bodgery about it, much easier in the Audi. Going to need to purchase some sill plates and new mats, the free ones I got are rubbish! Also the standard speakers are lame, that'll all be coming out soon. Watch this space!

I'll get some more arty pics later, but for now..

Looks stunning... :eyepop:, now all you need is a couple of exhaust trims to finish it off.

I'll get a pic for you later, it's just the standard colour of any other VAG.

How much are the exhaust trims? Also be looking at a Bluefin soon, you can tell the 140CR has much more to give but is restricted by the ECU.

Looks great, it will be fun keeping that shine in this weather. The mats I got are top quality, embossed with the word Scirocco, guess i was lucky.
I would be interested to hear how you get on with changing the speakers, and with the Bluefin. I am thinking about both of these.

I have to say though, the torque of the diesel still makes it fun to drive even with only 140hp.

I think in reality it's closer to 150hp than 140, but yeah it's still a lovely smooth drive.
