Re: Reflex Silver Scirocco R

Sorry to disagree but to my mind most silver cars look like an undercoat, black does not show up all the black detailing, white is non descript, the green is stunning and the blue also. Shame there is no metallic red, such as the Firespark VW did as a one off colour for a european car show. Still I ...

It's not mine, but mine is on the way.

Hi, finally after 3 weeks of waiting my dealer finally got their R demo. So today I was able to take it for a spin. All I can say is wow. Even with only 35 delivery km on the clock it went well, much better than my 2.0 TSI (GT in UK speak), it was very responsive and had a great sound. It was the st...

R Tyres

Hi, still 6 weeks until my Rising Blue R arrives. The first shipment of 15 cars for NZ has just landed. I am wondering what tyres mine will be supplied with as so far I have seen: Several on Continental Sport Contact 2's ( I had these as std on my 2005 GTI) I wownder if the Sport Contact 3's are a n...

Sounds great. I can't wait to see your photos. I also chose the 18", the 19" are a NZD 2k option, and as the price was getting up had to stop somwhere.

ROC DOWNUNDER NZ BOUND

Hi everyone, I have taken the plunge and ordered a new R. I have agonised over this as it will be the first time ever in my new car buying history that I will have changed to another new car within 12 months. I do love my Viper green GT, but is has a few features that were standared on my MK V GTI t...

Re: Colour advice... pleeeeeeaaaasssse???

Hi I would go with the Viper Green. I have had this colour since April 2009 and all the comments have been extremely positive. It really suits the car and makes it stand out ( you don't want to be a shrinking violet). To my mind I find the car world to be awash with grey's, blacks, silvers which mak...

Re: ********HALLELUJAH********(LEB)

Hi, thanks for your very full reply. In New Zealand we get the base package, and then spec individual items. We don't have "Packs" like the Northern Hemisphere. My car had been specced by the NZ importer, and as it would have meant another 3 month wait to spec exactly what I wanted, I took...

Re: ********HALLELUJAH********

Hi, nice car and photos. A couple of questions. Is your car standard or did you option it up? In New Zealand we only get the DSG, and the 1.4 and 2.0 engines. The cars in NZ are in base spec, so I am sure most people will be wanting to add a few options. The extra's on mine were the pana roof, leath...

Re: Viper Green

The Viper green is a fantastic colour. I love all he different shades in differing sunlight conditions. All my friends love the colour, which seems to accentuate the lines of the car. Of course I am biased.

Cheers

Rattle in Roof - Pana Roof

Hi, have a rattle in the roof, thought it may be the pana sun roof blind rattling against something, but no. You can hear when sitting in the front, but not in the back, even though it sounds like it is coming from the headlining. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced a similar problem. It'...

Rocco Downunder - Frist Driving Impressions & Comparo To Mar

Hi everyone, after now having had the Viper for 1.5 weeks and now covered 1200km I can report that I love it ( with a few minor reservations). I think I would undreservedly give it 6 stars out of 5 if I had not stepped out of the GTI, which IMO is such a fantastic all rounder. My main dissapointment...

Re: Viper Downunder - First Pics

That looks fab :) Is it a fairly unusual kind of car to have down there? Hi Kev, thanks for your reply. The Scirocco has just arrived in NZ about 3 weeks ago. For some reason Australia are not getting the Rocco ( how sad for them) So not many on the road so far. I know you guys have had it for abou...

Viper Downunder - First Pics

Hi, just picked up my new Rocco, after getting out of a 2005 Mark V Golf GTI. Here are the first photos, hot off the press. It is a great Autumn day in Auckland NZ, sunny and warm ( 22c). Perfect driving conditions. As far as I know I am the only Viper on the road in Auckland. The new Scirocco lande...

NZ VW Scirocco

Hi all I have just moved from the GTI site, having sold my 2005 GTI and am awaiting delivery next week of my 2.0TSI Scirocco, having purchased in sight unseen, but based on the reviews of it in the UK. The New Zealand importer/distributor has an initial order of 50, so only limited choice. My specs ...
