Colour advice... pleeeeeeaaaasssse???
Rights guys I ordered my roc in deep black as I wasn't to keen on the colour range, only really liked white and the black. Here's the problem, this past few nights I've been getting this bright green image in my head and kind of secretly like it. Whats everyones opinion on the viper green colour? I have never seen one in the flesh and wont get a chance to either which is annoying. Thing is do you think its a colour you'd like for the 1st year then go off it, where as black would just always look sleek and stealth like?
I will also point out I have ordered these alloys, so they will have to match the car colour...
Advice would be good...
Cheers...

Hi I would go with the Viper Green. I have had this colour since April 2009 and all the comments have been extremely positive. It really suits the car and makes it stand out ( you don't want to be a shrinking violet). To my mind I find the car world to be awash with grey's, blacks, silvers which makes for a very boring car scape. Hope this helps.

The Viper Green is nice, I took a drive in one at the weekend and the amount of head's it turned was unreal. Personally I like it in a "it's really nice but I wouldn't have one in that colour" kind of way but I'm sure you wouldn't regret it if you went for it. Try looking at Rising Blue as well, I found this really striking!

You only live once, when will you get another opportunity to own a green car with so much presence. I had originally ordered black but decided to go for white, I really dont regret my decision. On the plus side green will be easier to keep than black....

only you can decide drigbyy...
I've seen Nasher's viper green & it is gorgeous but not something I could live with everyday. Are you a stand out & shout look at me kind of guy?

Place I live is not the biggest of places. I currently have a Mini JCW with red body white stripes and white roof red stripes, everyone knows its me haha...
Maybe I'll stick with black and get a private plate...
Do like the green but your right, I would have to live with it everyday...
Cheers guys...

Thanks for the comments guys, i found a white rock on the forum which has the whole ABT kit on, the rear wing does look slightly odd...
Anyway I have been searching google images for the different colours of the roc and found these pics saying red. Is this salsa red or not (i've not seen salsa red)... Cos if it is I sooooooooooooooooooooooo want...

Re: Colour advice... pleeeeeeaaaasssse???
Not keen on shadow blue either...
Had a peugeot 307 a long time ago in a similar colour to rising blue and ended up disliking that for some reason...
I'm more than likely goin to just stick with black, it was my first thought so probs best to stick with it...

Green is honestly a nice color for the roc, and i think its one of the few cars that can carry a color like that so well..
I do kinda regret not getting the green...
But black is nice too, and its what i ordered..

Possibly, but you'll not know till its time to sell...is it worth the gamble...???Drigbyy2k wrote:Anyone know if getting it in the viper green wud affect 2nd hand values??? (lower them or not)
As for the black its a lot of work to keep tip top but I think its worth it plus the grill and rubbing strips blend in nice with the colour, check out this link of my black TDI after a good going over with Collinite 915...

Link don't work klippie....
But I noticed you have the VW mudflaps, could you tell me if they stick out or look good? Its another thing I'm undecided on. Been trying to find a pic low down from the back looking at them, but no luck...

Re: Colour advice... pleeeeeeaaaasssse???
you never know, it might be sought after colour in the near future! since the Roc is a rare sight anyway and viper green even more so.. when i sold my mk5 gti in 2008 i was inundated with buyers because it was candy white, not many buyers opted for white in 2005, so the 2nd hand market for one was good.
someone on here who used to work for VW did say that you can spec your car in any colour in the VW range, but at extra cost, however this was some time ago, and i dont know if this is true or not.
