Well after being one of the first members on here and picking up of the first new Scirocco GT's in September 2008 and then an R in March 2010 I am moving on. I swapped a GT for an R. Great decision mpg isn't much worse and if you buy second hand they are now early £20k.

They will try and knock £1k off that figure once they see the car by pointing out every stone chip and blemish. Got offered £18k cash bit dissapointed really. But don't want another VW and a bit wary about selling privately.

if they have ordered the wrong one they should give you serious money off though. I would take it I have manual and agree with the above comments but I would push for a lot more than £1300 off.

Just come back from a test drive of a 1M BMW. Great car. It does have better feel in steering, pedals and gear change and the sound is wonderful. Would cost me about £20k to change. Yeh I wanted a Cayman S last year. My wife didn't like it but I did. I've got to run it for upto 12k miles a year but still an attractive option.

So what does everyone think? I was just reading about the BMW 1 Series M which sounds good but will drop like a stone in value.
