My Scirocco R is going

Well after being one of the first members on here and picking up of the first new Scirocco GT's in September 2008 and then an R in March 2010 I am moving on. Our beautiful 1 year old baby girl means I need a more practical car and pick up a new Mazda 6 Sport in March. The R is now for sale if anyone...

Re: Is the R better than the GT ???

I swapped a GT for an R. Great decision mpg isn't much worse and if you buy second hand they are now early £20k.

Re: What's it worth?

They will try and knock £1k off that figure once they see the car by pointing out every stone chip and blemish. I think I would hate that given that its better condition than most cars I've ever seen at new! Not a single swirl in the paint I can imagine but that's their job. To get the money it's r...

Re: What's it worth?

Got offered £18k cash bit dissapointed really. But don't want another VW and a bit wary about selling privately.

What's it worth?

Does anyone have a view how much this would be worth either as trade, cash or privatley?

RB R with Satnav and service pack 16k miles March 2010 registered. Immaculate throughout all tyres all between 5 and 7mm.

High quality wax used from new.

Thanks,

James.

Re: HELP, what would you do if........

if they have ordered the wrong one they should give you serious money off though. I would take it I have manual and agree with the above comments but I would push for a lot more than £1300 off.

What a great car!

In on my own tonight so thought I would go have a drive of the R in the sunshine. Forgotten how great it is! Also had a drive of a Focus Ecoboost that was great too!

Re: What next after an R

The one I tried was privately owned by the owner and probably £46K? You are the right though they are bland in the extreme inside. The rear seats are a laugh givenI am 5 ft 7 and the pedal box is tiny. I kept hitting the foot rest on gear change. Saying all that I think it looks and goes the busines...

Re: What next after an R

It's a £40k car basic before options. How is that even worth considering for someone in the Market for a £30k R? Yeh good point I guess I was thinking of the 1M in base spec which is what I would have chosen just with the orange paint so £40k and I know many have spent well into the 30's. The 1M wa...

Re: What next after an R

Just come back from a test drive of a 1M BMW. Great car. It does have better feel in steering, pedals and gear change and the sound is wonderful. Would cost me about £20k to change. For those looking to spend early 30's on a new R its worth consideration I think. http://i383.photobucket.com/albums/o...

Re: What next after an R

But i need boot space for my Golf clubs which makes it a bit of no no really. haha. :D I'm not bored of it was just thinking at the weekend. I can get 35mpg out of it all day ...

Re: What next after an R

Yeh I wanted a Cayman S last year. My wife didn't like it but I did. I've got to run it for upto 12k miles a year but still an attractive option.

What next after an R

So what does everyone think? I was just reading about the BMW 1 Series M which sounds good but will drop like a stone in value.
