Re: Expensive start to 2013
:D , I seem to recall muttering something about not wanting another Rocco, just the wheel, he didn't look impressed ;) Looking on evil bay, you can get a full set of lookalikes for less money which I did consider... Still, I have managed to pick up a refurb genuine wheel wearing a slightly part worn...

Expensive start to 2013
So there I was, with wife heading back from town after some post Christmas sale shopping. Came off the roundabout, quite a bit of laying water, only this time disguising a broken manhole... Won't bore you with the rest, suffice to say I now have one completely wrecked P-Zero and a badly dented Lugan...

Gave mine the once over with a clay bar, despite being only 7 months old I was stunned by how much grunge came off!

Re: Iron-x and Chrome tailpipe question
For chrome thats a bit scummy (like tail pipes), I use wire wool but make sure it's the softest grade you can lay your hands on. Add a blob of Autosol and work in gently and you'll be fine...

Wet Look?
Hi all. With the imminent arrival of my Rocco, I would really like to give it that really deep, glossy finish that you boys achieve so well. I know the answer may lie in some other threads as part of the overall cleaning process but for the sake of simplicity, can anyone recommend a good product to ...

Re: TDI 140BMT That weak????
Hi all. Not really a thread bump but more bringing you up to speed with current events. Following your help and advice, today I put a deposit down on a 61 plate 2.0 TDI 170PS DSG with leather, satnav, parking sensors and 19" Luganos, the colour....rising blue. Took it for a test drive, still ha...

Black Lugano's, how best to clean...
Hi chaps, one of the last questions before I finally make a purchase.
It's all in the title really, I think the black wheels look lovely but wonder about the longevity of the finish and how best to look after them.
Any thoughts or advice welcomed...

Belated Happy Returns!
Thanks for adding to this thread. Sometimes I just wonder whether I should behave better and get another Mondeo but tales like yours just helps me to think I'm making the right choice after all!

Re: TDI 140BMT That weak????
Thanks again guys. At the weekend, I drove a 140 (DSG) at a non-vw dealer and was fairly impressed with it. As mentioned earlier in the thread, I drive a 2006 2.0 130PS Mondeo which is fairly willing but compared to the Scirocco I can most politely describe it as 'Agricultural' but I guess that's wh...

Re: TDI 140BMT That weak????
Hi guys, many thanks for your input. I think that I will probably go for the 170 IF I can find one within a reasonable travelling distance and that appears to be the challenge at present. Considering the distance I am prepared to travel / max budget / specs available / preferred colours, I really am...
