The answer above is incorrect - the DQ350 is the new high-torque 7-speed gearbox. The DQ250 is the 6-speed that comes with the Scirocco 2.0 TSI.

Actually you are quoting rpm for the manual box, if I recall correctly it's different with the DSG, I will look and report back.

Personally I hardly notice engine noise regardless of speed. At very high speeds there is some wind noise but the motor doesn't make a racket.

So theoretical top speed in 7th gear is over 300km/h

Are you saying that it works on your 1.4? I am very interested to know since I've not heard of LC working on the 7-speed DSG.

Like he said, it's on a freeway downhill.

I think a chipped 1.4TSI with intake and exhaust mods would easily make 250 km/h. At that point it would be making perhaps 220HP. Why would the car need 130hp more to raise top speed by 20km/h? Is there a reliable way of calculating it?
