Hi guys! I'm writing from Italy and I've a question for you.
I wonder what type of DSG gearbox is fitted on 2.0 TSi scirocco. I mean DQ250, DQ350? I'm interested because of an ecu flash and i'd like to know the torque limit of the gearbox. Thank's a lot! Sorry for my bad english!!
Thank you for your reply! I was'nt able to find out this info so i ask you: are you sure or it's supposed to be like that? I found 2010 seat altea technical
data and read that the 2.0 tdi 103KW engine with 320nm torque is fitted with dsg DQ250. How is it possible? Doesn't DQ250 mean 250 nm of maximun torque? There's something not clear..if the car fits this gearbox I want to suppose it can menage this amount of torque so what are the differences between DQ250 and DQ350? And first of all which is the scirocco one?

Thank you a lot for your kindness.
Options: It came with DSG, RCD510 with MDI, 17" wheels, cruise control, parking sensors, xenon lights, black leather seats, bluetooth, and a lot of other things I can't remember right now..
Thank you Hassan Adly now I understand the difference between DQ250 e DQ350: 6 speed vs 7 speed! Do you confirm that both the gearboxes are max 350NM ? Since they fit 2.0 TDI 140Hp 320NM engine with DQ250 i suppose the answer is yes... In this case my rocco's new remap from 200 to 240hp and 280 to 349Nm should be safe for DSG's life!
So... ending:
DQ200-------new 7 speed dry cluches vw dsg 250NM maximum torque
DQ250-------6 speed wet cluches vw dsg 350NM maximum torque
DQ350-------new 7 speed wet cluches audi s-tronic 350NM maximum torque
DQ500-------new 7 speed wet cluches audi s-tronic 500NM maximum torque (4 wheel drive)
Yes, the DQ200 is the one fitted to the rocco's 1.4 tsi 160hp. This engine is 240NM max torque so it means that a new remap will overcome the DQ200's "official" torque limit. That is a problem for modding... even if you can probably reach 280NM safely without touching the DSG. I also know that there is a way to remap also the gearbox's mechatronic unit. This way increases idraulic pression to the cluches and upshifts eletronic limit in order improve DSG's ability to transmit torque. See the link: http://www.hpamotorsports.com/dsg.htm
Did you ever try a DSG fitted car? If the answer is no, do it as soon as you can...bacause in everyday use is simply fantastic! For modding of course DSG is a limitation but not a very severe one!
I know it's fantastic.
I had my test drive before I bought my manual and it is gr8.
I have also driven A3 with TFSI and DQ250 in the past.
But my choice was relatively easy; for the DSG there was a waiting list of more than 3 months
... and of course there's the cost issue
I was under pressure to get rid of my old ride so there wasn't much to consider.
For the reasons below..it was the right choice! I know that for 1.4 tsi with DSG there's a long waiting list, here in Italy it's the same...So you don't even have the problem of remapping!! :yes:I
