Scirocco Central

Audi's DSG is called S-Tronic. Multitronic is a transmission with indefinite number of gears (the so called continuous variable transmission). You don't ever feel it changing gears as it works.

Its a 2ltr TDI (177 bhp) with a multitronic CVT gearbox. The facelift just came out a month or two ago.

Drove it a couple of days back. Steering feedback is bad, the ride is uncomfortable (too stiff suspension setting and unadjustable), but the gearbox is nice. And the built quality is good. The car is stylish indeed.

I'll keep my Roc ..

I'm at 62.000 km; changed front tires once; rears are still good (I use winter tires in the winter). Brakes are still in excellent condition and need no changing. No problems so far, except had the rear leather seating replaced due to a factory mistake.

A3 is not a bad car. But compared to the Roc it's just plain and boring.

1.4 is ok, until you have driven the 2.0

Comfort mode 90 % of the time.. (lots of highway driving)

My wiper blades left a bad smear after a few months... had only the rubbers replaced on a VW service for EUR 10, solved the problem... No need to order new blades..

This had also happened to me on two or three occasions, when the car was new. I dont think its a problem, as it hasn't happened in the last 15.000 mi, IMO Regen is a good theory

It's a nice car, but SHAME on the country that taxes their people so much that they are forced to make a VAN out a sportscar like a scirocco...

Go for the TDI, do a remap (you can get from 175 - 195 PS) and enjoy the performance as you'll have HP close to 2.0 TSI, only with much more torque..
and of course, you'll be doing close to 40 % more range with a TDI..
