I did a run from here in the SW of france to Dover,week before xmas,@ an average of 5.8l/100km.
I think that works out at around 40mpg.
A distance of 1800km=1118 miles.

What do you Candy guy's use for removing tar spots? I did'nt go for black,because they are a pig to keep clean :eek: But,OMG,Candy is no better! Is there a product that will remove tar,but dous'nt strip all the polish off. I find if the tar is'nt too bad a bit of Autoglym super resin will remove it....

I heard somewhere,that if you change lanes whilst in the restricted area,then the cameras wont activate,as each camera only focus on one lane.
Maybee someone could clarify this.......Or not.

Well!The day has finaly arived when I pick up my new Candy White 170tdi.
1 hr drive to dealers then home to drool.
Then on Sunday off to Angouleme for the "Circuit de Rampart's"(like Le Mans classic).

I had a bad experience with a Land Rover Discovery,deffo a Friday car.
Did'nt let it put me off Landy's though!
Vee Dubs,on the whole are well made and very reliable good car's.Don't let 1 bad experience put you off.

I've never been one for naming my cars.
My Touareg,was just Treg.My Defender 90,is the bog hopper.(you would understand if you saw it).
My last Golf was Vee Dub.
So I suppose the Scirocco will be just "Roc".
