I always thought being caught at 30mph above the limit,was an instant ban???

After reading the story it seems he 'only' received 6 points to receive a ban anyway (for 9 months), as he already had 6 points. I am sure if he had 3 points before, they would have given him 9... As far as I am aware, 100mph on the motorway is an instant 28 day ban.
Plus he was in a Jaaaaaaaaagggg!!
Best advice? If you want to experience that speed, go to an unrestricted Autobahn like I do sometimes. You need to have good motorway etiquette there too, so no middle-lane hogging!
