What to do!!

Post by CTRnutter »

Tomorrow I am off to AMD to get a non res milltek system fitted to the car since having the re-map, and I have had all the intentions of fitting a K&N 57i kit to the car just to help the turbo along, I was always advised by tuners in the past that these kits although cheaper were just as good as any when it came to power gains! problem is that was with the Evo scene I have on the other hand heard stories of sensors being clogged with oil from these filters on vag cars!

Does anyone have any suggestions or information on this? I really want to get the turbo working with nice cold air and not much back pressure as since the remap I am running higher boost etc and want to help the car along the way

Cheers guys :)

CTRNutter,

Please could you do me a huge favour? When you have time could you make a video of the non res exhaust at engine start and with a few revs, I need to hear how loud this thing is before buying one myself.

I had a 57i on my TT which ended up getting ripped off due to MAF problems. Ended up swapping it for a Powertec SL1 with the Cold Air Feed as it's not oiled so no dirt issues. I personally wouldn't recommend a 57i but that's just down to one bad experience.
