Scirocco Central

Hi all,

I installed HID fogs on my Scirocco and the following day the left side fog did not come on. So I got a new bulb, swopped ballast..still not working. Then I tried out the original bulbs and still the left hand side does not come on.

When it first stopped working I got a bulb out error..I cleared it over VCDS but a week later trying to find the fault the bulb out error does not come on even though the bulb does not go on.

So could it be a fuse? Which fuse is for the fog lights? Could it be something on VCDS?

This is on my 2 week old Rising Blue 2.0TSI

There is no separte fuse or fuses for the fog lights but it may be worth looking at fuses 2 & 13 (10 amps each) in the side of the driver's dash which control lights.

If you have set VCDS up and it worked. . You may have blown the Central Electrics controller's output circuit for the the left fog light..

I have done VCDS coding but nothing regarding the fogs except for the error I cleared..

Disconnected the battery...it's working again
