Mute Button Problem on Steering Wheel

Post by Ryy »

This has been happening for a while and hope someone may have heard of it / be able to help.

I have never changed the RNS510 that came with it, in fact I only plan on updating maps on Monday coming, which will be my change.

I THINK it's a B unit as it only goes up to 2GB.

Anyway, the volume buttons on the wheel work fine, as does every other. But the MUTE button sometimes doesn't work. If it's not working, if I turn of the RNS, then turn it back on, it works again.

Any ideas?

I had that problem. It was working then it wasn`t.
I took it into the dealers who reset the settings and it worked again.....well that`s not 100%, the car didn`t lock so they did it again and all was well again :)
