Hi all, having more problems with my roc again, this time its the temp gauge playing up, as you drive it from cold the temp gauge jerks up at roughly 5' intervals until 90' , its only just started doing this (since the really cold weather) when you switch the engine off the needles sweep down without sticking so again a trip to the dealers along with a passenger door rattle.
Anyone else suffered this yet?

Re: 1.4 TSI TEMP GAUGE
Yes, I have the same. Also had last winter in temps around 0'C. This time been around since the cold temps over the last few weeks. I have changed a 80'C waxstat in one of the two in the thermostats as written elsewhere. It does the same after the change. It's associated with urdan driving on mine when it is under load. If just coasting it stops rising.
On the 60 - 70 mph type of drive it just steadily sweeps up to to 90'C.
Waiting for warmer weather to change the other thermostat given problems I have with the engine warming up.
