I have what sounds like a whining noise coming from my engine/gearbox.
It is most evident in second gear, but can be heard if you listen really hard in 1st and 3rd. Its not evident a low speed and goes away at higher speed. It goes away if you put your foot on the clutch.
The VW mechanic says its not the gearbox but some kind of resonance from the engine.
Can anyone else hear this ?
My car has done about 9000 miles.
Gearbox or engine noise ?
