Multi Function Display

Post by CHICKENFOOT »

I have just purchased a second hand (Sept 2008) scirocco from a VW dealer but the hand book has gone missing and I have a couple of issues.

When I trun of the ignition off the touch screen reverts to TIM and searches for radio stations - is this normal and can you trun it off.

Can you turn of the Home Start and Going Home lights - if so how.

Any assistance greatfully received.

I presume you have the standard radio (RCD510) rather than the satnav version (RNS510) in which case, it may seem stupid but, have you tried pressing the TIM button?
you can find a radio manual here

the leaving & coming home light settings are set within the highline computer, unfortunately I don't have this so someone else will be along to advise how to access this & where to find the settings in it (I believe it will probably be under the convienience menu) however once set the leaving home lights will work automatically when you lock your car but the coming home lights you need to flash your lmain beam before switching off the ignition

if they have lost the manuals make sure you get anew copy of the service record as this is necessary for your car
