Hi, I have a retrofitted RNS along with the FISCON bluetooth system. I upgraded with no problems to 2660 a few months ago and it was working fine.
Today I tried to upgrade to firmware 2680 and it stopped at %29, it proceeded to eject the cd and ask for the software on a different media or a different software. Being worried I inserted 2660 back in and it installed the older version of the software.
It seems that now the PHONE option has been disabled and I can't get the bluetooth going!!
I am hoping that it is a simple VAG-COM insert and enable via its setup options. Am I wrong?
If so would anyone be so kind as to help me out? I work during the week in the Milton Keynes area and at weekends I can be in reading/Wembley.
I'd gladly shout you a drink or 2 to say thanks!!

Word of warning to people, don't try the 2680 firmware unless you have VAGCOM...

Personally I'm waiting for the 2700 firmware, and wait for a few others to try it first
(bricking = turning it into something as functional as an expensive brick)

Also, there is a chance of 'bricking' the unit if the firmware update fails. Best bet is to write to a DVD-R pref of decent quality, using a reliable DVD writer, at the lowest possible write speed.....2680 is a factory update and requires VagCom to re-activate Dynaudio etc...

Just back from the electronic shop who sold me the Sat Nav:
Word of warning to everyone!
As JC said it is a factory install which means everything is set to default, the faulty disc seems to have screwed up my coding which meant that the Sat NAv was not being picked up by the steering Wheel and MFD. He managed to re-code it using VAG-COM so the morale of the story is, wait until there is a working firmware which isn't a factory install out. 2660 is fine and probably is the best one out at the moment!!
