Long story short, window regulator replaced but the glass is a couple mm low. (I know about the holding the switch thing, it's not that, it needs adjusting, not just a reset)
My question is, is it done like this:
i.e. long torx up through the hole in the bottom of the door
or this:
i.e. door card off, loosen the screws holding the glass, fiddle it into place, retighten
Anyone know which is correct?

The first is correct for height and angle adjustment. I'm guessing this is from a VW training video. The second is only correct for back-to front adjustment

I think the first video is basically this, page 13:

Done now but for the archives, things that would be handy to know first:
It's a T25
You need a very bright light to see what you're aiming for through the tiny hole. You absolutely cannot see it, illuminate it and get a screwdriver to it at the same time.
It's possible that I don't know right from left, but what I have called clockwise all my life moved the glass up, not down.
