Boot Struts and adjustment question

Can anyone tell me on a 2017 Scirocco 1.4 TSI GT (FL I believe) if the boot will pop open? Mine doesn't. I have fitted some emerald struts and I have the new bumper stops in place but is it just a case of adjusting these correctly to get the boot to pop open?

So at the moment you have to lift the VW handle to open the boot and you did before I fitted the struts. Which kind of defeats the object. :(

Sorted now, with a long press on key boot button.
