2.0 tdi starts and cuts out immediately

Hi. 2011 tdi 140 manual, used to occasionally start and cut out on an incline, went in for service last week and has had fuel filter replaced. Now will do it on level ground. Advised DMF wearing but surely this can't be the issue.
I have a video of it but don't know how to upload.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi did you sort this problem out as I have one that will start occasionally but more often than not I have to give the accelerator a slight push and then it’s fine , I’m thinking air in the fuel line as if it hasn’t been bled with the vagcom
