How do I set it so that the exterior mirrors fold in automatically when I lock the car?

There is a switch on the drivers door which operates the mirrors. One of the settings folds the mirrors in and out.
However, I would like it fold in automatically when I lock or unlock the car. Is this possible?

You are in luck! As you have the electric folding mirrors, this option brings with it the ability to dip the mirrors - what you need is someone with Vagcom which is when you plug your pc in and using certian software can turn options on. I don't believe its possible to have the mirrors automatically fold when you lock the car, even with VCDS / VagCom
The option in the posted link is just for enabling folding mirrors when you have retrofitted it to the car. There is no option to set it to fold when you lock/unlock.
The scirocco is still based on the golf mk6 platform, and unless there has been an update of the control module(s) in the 2015 facelift - it has no option to auto fold mirrors. Only the Golf Mk7 platform has that option.

i apologies you are right - i misunderstood. The option i meant was when you put it into reverse.... i must be a bit slow today

Have you tried holding the lock button for a few seconds after locking the car? Might sound silly but on skoda etc it folds in the mirrors (as well as closing windows like the roc does already) and since vw make skoda might be the same?

Seat and skoda have different modules which are compatible with folding on the key, vw do not... for some reason haha
