I wonder if anyone can help. I have a recurring problem that goes away and somes back in my 210 TSI.
I get a resonance through the dash, to the right of the steering wheel on the overrun, at exacly 2100 rpm for about 200 reves only, in any gear (its DSG). I thought it was from under the bonnet a while ago so I tighten the bonnet stay, OK for a few weeks then it came back do this was not related I guess. Its only when it is warmed up.
The dealer have had the dash out twice with no success. It isn't a rattle but definitely something resonating. Any thoughts? A needle in a haystack comes to mind!
Regards
Terry

Re: Resonanace though the dash
Thanks for this, greatly appreciated. I'm not sure though. Having looked at what has been posted over the last couple of years, often the problem is when acceleration, this is only when it is on the overrun and within the narrow rev band, coming down from about 2300 to about 1900.
I have the dealer further investigation after Easter. Also, just to say that the dealer has been brilliant (Sawston VW in Cambridge where I bought e car) they have looked at it before and are happy for me to share any feedback with them that I get from site.
