Jack points

Post by easybreeze »

Jack points... upon picking up my car today, I noticed little dents where the jack point is, checked the showroom car and it was just the same... I pointed this out and the guy said it's the markers for the Jack points. I do believe him but wanted to double check... is that normal? :?

Booklet 3.2 page 78
They're little inverted triangle indentations.

You're not the first to ask this on the forum, yet I thought this was common knowledge on modern cars. Maybe it's just VAG cars?

Anyway, that's what the forum is for, to get answers!

Lol a bit like me then - when will VW offer an owners online bit where you can download the manual for your car - for my brothers X5 he can go online and get manuals as well as parts diagrams etc

At least if they were online you could always get the latest revision, mine was already dated when I picked up my car few months ago not to mention full of contradictions.

I'm able to keep manuals in perfect condition but still read them... :?

I wouldn't not buy a car second hand just because the owner had read the manual, and there was perhaps a natural crease in the manual where the pages have been turned... More important things to worry about in life!!
