What is in the first aid kit??

The funny thing is, at a serious RTC (Road Traffic Collision), a car first aid kit is likely to be useless, unless you want to treat very minor injuries. But at a serious RTC you're likely to have bigger things on your hands to deal with.

I would tend to agree - but I don't like to have that strap doing nothing .
It's got a load of bandages, plaster, scissors etc - for the walking wounded rather than anything more serious.
Plus I stuff it with extra stuff I actually use when the children get ill on holidays :D

Ahh fair enough, as I don't own a 'Roc yet I didn't know there is an un-used strap!

Let me guess, for the kids..... Plasters, Piriton and Calpol??

Never noticed but is there a place in the boot for both the first aid kit and triangle to go?

Post a pic and a part number when you can.

I'd be the same if theres a place for something to go and a strap flapping around fill it.

Here is the boot with liner, triangle ("borrowed" from a MK 1 TT) and a Lupo first aid kit.
The Scirocco one should arrive today.

Take the space saver out (weight saving) and use the strap to hold your can of tyre inflator in place, and the warning triangle holder makes a nice umbrealla holder :)

Two alternative ideas from mark's tips of the day bible :D
Car is now Sold!!!!! BMW 7 Series for now as nice and big but holding out for something a little special as my toy :)

This is the official roc first aid kit.
It's bulging with a few extra bits.

Talk about VW cost cutting - the strap could usefully use an extra few cm
