Post by clauuualc »

Hi guys,

Driving along my car, in one evening i sensed I had't got any power more.
It seemed like my old 115hp Renault...Mine has got also Revo on it so it's supposed to go well

Take it back to your Revo dealer, he'll be able to run diagnostics and let you know what the problem is.

There are some fuel pumps fitted which don't have sufficient fuel pressure that can cause sudden loss of power. Affects some 200PS & 210PS, 2.0ltr TSi engines due to worn fuel pump components. Fuel pump replacement with improved unit, part number - 06J 127 025G.
If it is fuel pressure from the fuel pump, fault code 16471 will be present in the engine ECU - Controller 01.

16471 - Fuel Rail/System Pressure: Too Low

--------

Another with the same loss of power is the Carrier Plate of the Control Flap(s) in the Inlet Manifold has become loose and cannot be controlled correctly.
If the cause, the fault codes 08196, 08212 & 08213 will be present in the engine ECU - Controller 01.
Flap assembly replacement or if badly damaged, inlet manifold as a whole.

08196 - Intake Manifold Flap for Airflow Control Bank1/Open
08212 - Sender for Manifold Flap Position/Electric complaint in circuit
08213 - Sender Manifold Flap Position/Airflow Control, implausible signal

First above is more likely cause.

As RW1 said, this fault happened on my GT requiring recovery to the dealer. Resulted in new fuel pump and injectors under warranty. New fuel pump was fitted but injector was stuck open apparently resulting in fuel all over the workshop. Something potential owners of earlier cars should be aware of. My car was stock but it was driven enthusiastically. My car would not restart.

I had this last year but unlike the others the fault was found to be the accelerator pedal wiring loom  loss of power, both lights on and would only rev to 4- 5k revs as it was in protection mode?

I got the "missfire" error code for cylinder 1 and 3

They said it could be:

1. spark plugs

2. Don't know exactly how they are called in english... when I used the translator it showed me "coil" or "bobbin"

hope you help me with the real name :D
